United & Taylor Welding Supply was established in 1919 by Joseph Smigen in Amsterdam, NY. Over 90 years later the firm is still under family ownership and currently has four locations in upstate New York. In 1992 United & Taylor underwent a major expansion project adding a state-of-the-art cylinder filling facility at its Scotia, NY location. This allows us to fill industrial, medical and specialty gases on site.

United & Taylor Welding is now servicing the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta, NY and the surrounding areas

As an independent welding distributor we are able to provide our customers with the service, quality and experience that chain stores and catalog houses cannot. We cover a wide geographic territory, serving most of upstate NEW YORK and the bordering areas of VERMONT and MASSACHUSETTS.

We only sell quality products, covering the mig, tig, stick, plasma and oxy-fuel welding and cutting processes. In addition, we sell power and hand tools as well as safety equipment and a variety of other industrial supplies. We service what we sell and are an authorized warranty repair facility for most major welding equipment manufacturers.
